Description

The mouse monoclonal antibody clone B1 binds to the human γδ T cell receptor (TCR γδ). γδ TCR is a T cell receptor consisting of two glycoprotein chains, a 45-60 kDa gamma chain and a 40-60 kDa delta chain. Unlike conventional αβ T cell receptor, which recognizes peptides bound to MHC, γδ TCR recognizes antigens in a non-MHC restricted way. TCR γδ associates with CD3 to play a role in signal transduction and is found on thymocytes and a subset of T cells. γδ T-expressing T cells are often among the first immune cells to respond to infections and can rapidly produce cytokines to initiate an immune response. Studies also suggest its role in antigen presentation and autoimmune disease.

RECOMMENDED USAGE

Flow cytometry: The suggested use of this reagent is 5 µL per 1 million cells in a staining volume of 100 µL. If whole blood is analyzed, then use 5 µL per 100 µL. It is recommended that users titrate the antibody to obtain the optimal result for their specific application. The content of a vial (0.5 mL) is sufficient for 100 tests.
Co-staining with an anti-human CD3 antibody conjugate may affect the reactivity of clone B1 (anti-TCR γ/δ) by blocking its recognized epitope. For panels containing CD3 antibody, incubate the sample with anti-TCR γ/δ (B1) conjugate for approximately 15 minutes before adding the remaining antibodies. No washing is required between staining steps.
