Description

The HI186 monoclonal antibody binds to human CD52, a 25-29-kDa glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchored glycoprotein. CD52, also known as Cambridge pathology 1 antigen (CAMPATH-1), is expressed in high levels on mature lymphocytes and surface of thymocytes. It is also present on NK cells, macrophages/monocytes, eosinophils, neutrophils and dendritic cells and absent from plasma cells, platelets and erythrocytes1. CD52 is known to be efficient in complement-mediated lysis and antibody-mediated cellular toxicity and are clinically used as a drug target for various diseases, including lymphoma, transplant rejection and autoimmune diseases2. The antibody was conjugated to a fluorophore and purified by affinity chromatography.

RECOMMENDED USAGE

Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested using flow cytometric analysis. For flow cytometric staining, the suggested use of this reagent is 5 µL per 1 million cells in a staining volume of 100 µL. If whole blood is analyzed, then use 5 µL per 100 µL. It is recommended that users titrate the antibody to obtain the optimal result for their specific application.
