Description

The rat monoclonal antibody clone BM16 binds to human CD294, also known as CRTH2 (chemoattractant receptor–homologous molecule expressed on Th2 cells). CD294 is a seven-transmembrane G protein–coupled receptor that serves as a receptor for prostaglandin D₂ (PGD₂) and plays a key role in type 2 immune responses. CD294 is selectively expressed on Th2 cells, type 2 innate lymphoid cells (ILC2s), eosinophils, basophils, and a subset of CD8⁺ T cells, making it a widely used marker for identifying and characterizing Th2-associated immune populations by flow cytometry. Engagement of CRTH2 mediates chemotaxis, cytokine production, and activation of these cells in allergic inflammation and asthma. Clone BM16 is validated for flow cytometric analysis and is commonly used for immunophenotyping, subset discrimination, and functional studies involving human Th2-skewed immune responses.

RECOMMENDED USAGE

Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested using flow cytometric analysis. For flow cytometric staining, the suggested use of this reagent is 5 μL per 1 million cells in a staining volume of 100 μL. If whole blood is analyzed, then use 5 μL per 100 μL. It is recommended that users titrate the antibody to obtain the optimal result for their specific application.

Please briefly centrifuge the reagent vial before use.

Use appropriate personal protective equipment per the product safety data sheet when using this product.
