Specific Information
Description: The monoclonal antibody 8D12 recognizes CD147 which is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily. It is also called EMMPRIN and basigin. CD147 has been characterized as a tumor cell collagenase stimulating molecule and has also been shown to have a role in cell adhesion. CD147 can be found in association with integrins alpha3 beta1 and alpha6 beta1 by co-immpunopreciptations. Additionally it is thought to play a role in T cell activation and thymocyte cycling. CD147 is expressed broadly on hematopoietic and non-hematopoietic cells, especially in tumor cells.
Applications Reported: This 8D12 antibody has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: This 8D12 antibody has been pre-titrated and tested by flow cytometric analysis or normal human peripheral blood cells. This can be used at 5 µL (0.5 µg) per test. A test is defined as the amount (µg) of antibody that will stain a cell sample in a final volume of 100 µL. Cell number should be determined empirically but can range from 10^5 to 10^8 cells/test.
Excitation: 633-647 nm; Emission: 660 nm; Laser: Red Laser.
Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.
