Description
The mouse monoclonal antibody clone MEM-108 binds to human CD48, a 45 kDa GPI-anchored glycoprotein that is also known as BCM1. CD48 is a signaling lymphocyte activation molecule (SLAM) family and Ig superfamily member. It is expressed on leukocytes but not on non-hematopoietic cells and plays a role in cell adhesion and activation. The primary ligands for CD48 are CD2 (LFA-2) and CD244 (2B4 antigen).
