The M80 monoclonal antibody bind to human CD141, a 75-kDa type I membrane glycoprotein. CD141, also known as thrombomodulin, BDCA-3, and fetomodulin, binds to its ligand, thrombin, to form a thrombin-thrombomodulin complex. This complex activates protein C and initiates the Protein C anticoagulant pathway^1,2. When bound to CD141, thrombin loses its ability to activate several pro-coagulant proteins³. The molecule is expressed on macrophages, monocytes, dendritic cells, and vascular endothelial cells. The antibody was conjugated to a fluorophore and purified by affinity chromatography.

RECOMMENDED USAGE

Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested using flow cytometric analysis. For flow cytometric staining, the suggested use of this reagent is 5 µL per 1 million cells in a staining volume of 100 µL. If whole blood is analyzed, then use 5 µL per 100 µL. It is recommended that users titrate the antibody to obtain the optimal result for their specific application.
