FREMONT, Calif., October 30, 2019 – Cytek Biosciences Inc., a leading provider of flow cytometry instrumentation, today announced that Lars J.T. Droog has been named director of European operations for the company. In this role, Droog will lead Cytek’s organizations in Europe and focus on team building, operational activities, and providing an exceptionally positive customer experience.

Droog will report to Cytek’s vice president of global sales, Steve Ziganti, who said of the appointment: “We are delighted to have Lars join our European leadership team. The establishment of Cytek’s regional headquarters in Amsterdam is an exciting time for us. Lars has extensive experience in the chemical and healthcare industries, and I’m certain he will be a great asset to the company as we continue to grow.”

Droog joins Cytek from Thermo Fisher Scientific, where he served as senior manager for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Droog holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences’ School of Economics & Management and has more than two decades of work experience, including senior management roles with Polar Air Cargo, Schreiner Aviation Group, Asiana Airlines and Tosoh Corporation. He is also chairman of both The International Air Cargo Association’s Shippers’ Advisory Committee and evofenedex’s Airfreight and Express Shippers’ Council, a committee of the Dutch Shippers’ Council.
