The mouse monoclonal antibody clone JOVI.1 binds to a constant region of the T cell receptor beta chain, also known as T cell receptor beta constant 1 (TRBC1). It is expressed on a subset of TCRαβ T cells on the beta chain of the T Cell receptor. The immunogen used to generate the hybridoma were cells from transgenic animals expressing the human Vβ3-Cβ1 TCR chain that was cloned from the HA1.7 human T cell line.
