The mouse monoclonal antibody clone MU5UBEE binds to human CD185, also known as CXCR5 or BLR1, a seven-transmembrane G protein–coupled receptor for the chemokine CXCL13. CD185 is expressed on mature B cells, subsets of CD4⁺ T cells including follicular helper T cells, as well as memory T cells, and plays a critical role in lymphocyte trafficking and organization of germinal centers. By guiding B and T cell migration into B cell follicles of secondary lymphoid tissues, CXCR5 supports antibody production and adaptive immune responses, while aberrant expression has been associated with lymphoma and immune dysfunction.

RECOMMENDED USAGE

Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested using flow cytometric analysis. For flow cytometric staining, the suggested use of this reagent is 5 μL per 1 million cells in a staining volume of 100 μL. If whole blood is analyzed, then use 5 μL per 100 μL. It is recommended that users titrate the antibody to obtain the optimal result for their specific application.
