説明
The M17/4 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse CD11a, an 180kD glycoprotein that is also known as integrin alpha L (ITGAL). CD11a associates non-covalently with CD18 (integrein beta 2) to form the lymphocyte function associated antigen-1 (LFA-1) heterodimer. CD11a is expressed on the cell surface of all leukocytes. LFA-1 plays a critical role in intercellular adhesion that is mediated through interactions with its ligands, ICAM-1 (CD54), ICAM-2 (CD102), and ICAM-3 (CD50). LFA-1 also functions in lymphocyte costimulatory signaling. On resting cells, LFA-1 exists in a low-affinity conformation that is rapidly induced to the high-affinity conformation following cell stimulation.
