Our Product

Continuing to build on established full spectrum flow cytometry innovation, Cytek is proud to introduce the new Cytek Borealis flow cytometer. The Cytek Borealis system expands the capabilities of Full Spectrum Profiling (FSP®) technology by extending detection into previously underutilized spectral regions through the Deep Ultraviolet (DUV) and Infrared (IR) lasers. By unlocking greater panel complexity and improving population resolution in information-rich assays, the Cytek Borealis system empowers researchers to generate higher-quality data, expand analytical capabilities, and uncover deeper biological insights.

Full Spectrum Profiling (FSP) Technology

Cytek’s FSP technology redefines flow cytometry, offering unmatched flexibility, resolution, and data quality. Unlike traditional filter-based systems, FSP technology allows experiment design based primarily on laser configurations, eliminating the need for complex filter switching. The low-noise electronics and high efficiency detectors deliver exceptional signal resolution, enhancing detection of dim populations. With autofluorescence extraction and the capability to run high-dimensional assays, FSP technology enables researchers to analyze more parameters with confidence, expanding the possibilities for discovery and innovation. The Cytek Borealis system is designed to allow customers to use commonly available fluorochromes while gaining the greatest performance benefits when using Cytek cFluor® reagents that have been optimized for the Cytek Borealis system.

Borealis
New Cytek cFluor® Reagents For DUV And IR Lasers

The Cytek Borealis system is introduced alongside a new early access portfolio of DUV and IR fluorochromes and supporting reagents, providing an integrated solution for accessing spectral space and scaling panel complexity with confidence. These early access dyes are now available for custom development, evaluation, and early adoption with broader commercial availability planned.

Proven Foundation With Expanded Panel Flexibility For 55-Colors

The Cytek Borealis system 55-color panel provides a proven foundation for high-parameter flow cytometry. Expanded DUV and IR laser capability enables incorporation of additional cFluor dyes optimized for these excitation lines, opening new paths for panel design and marker selection. The result is a broader panel that maintains the spectral resolution and performance expected from the Cytek platform.

Cross-Platform Assay Reproducibility

Outstanding population resolution is a hallmark of Cytek instrumentation. Across Cytek platforms, consistency in fluorescence performance is achieved with a patented optical design and implementation of tight specifications across all components and procedures during the manufacturing process. To standardize instrument setup, Cytek uses pre-optimized acquisition settings known as CytekAssaySetting (CAS) and an automated Daily QC procedure.
