The tumor necrosis factor receptor-related protein is the human receptor for the heterotrimer of lymphotoxinalpha and lymphotoxin beta. This LT alpha\/LTbeta heterotrimer (LT alpha 1\/beta 2) is assumed to take part in immunologic reactions by cell-cell contact, but does not bind to either TNFR1 (CD120 alpha) or TNFR2 (CD120 beta).
