HAI-1 is a single transmembrane protein of approximately 53 kDa with an extracellular Kunitz-type serine protease inhibitor domain. HAI-1 and HAI-2 are produced in membrane-associated forms, which are secreted as active, proteolytically truncated proteins. HAI can bind to and inhibit HGFA and matripase, which are responsible for converting HGF to an active form. Human HAI-1 transcript is expressed in various human tissues, such as adult placenta, kidney, pancreas, prostate, small intestine, fetal kidney and fetal lung. HAI-1 is a marker for prostate and breast cancers.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eApplications Reported:  This 9B10 antibody has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis, immunoprecipitation, and immunoblotting (WB) under nonreducing conditions only.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eApplications Tested: This 9B10 antibody has been tested by flow cytometric analysis of human cell line MCF7. This can be used at less than or equal to 0.5 µg per test. A test is defined as the amount (µg) of antibody that will stain a cell sample in a final volume of 100 µL. Cell number should be determined empirically but can range from 10^5 to 10^8 cells\/test.
