This approximately 120 kDa surface molecule non-covalently associates with the beta subunits of the integrin family including beta3 (CD61), beta1 (CD29), beta5 and beta6 to form receptors for extracellular matrix components. Heterodimers of CD51\/CD61 are expressed by platelets, T cells and granulocytes and mediate adhesion to fibrinogen, fibronectin, vitronectin and thrombospondin.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eApplications Reported:  The RMV-7 antibody has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eApplications Tested: The RMV-7 antibody has been tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocytes. This can be used at less than or equal to 1 µg per test. A test is defined as the amount (µg) of antibody that will stain a cell sample in a final volume of 100 µL. Cell number should be determined empirically but can range from 10^5 to 10^8 cells\/test.
