This C-type lectin is expressed on monocytes, granulocytes, B cells, and plasmacytoid dendritic cells in peripheral blood. DCIR is also expressed on mature and immature monocyte-derived dendritic cells in vitro. DCIR is not expressed on NK or T cells. With its cytoplasmic ITIM domain, DCIR is an inhibitory receptor that recruits the SHP-1 and SHP-2 phosphatases upon ligand binding. Studies have demonstrated that DCIR plays a role in the interaction between dendritic cells and HIV-1.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eApplications Reported:  This 9E8 antibody has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eApplications Tested: This 9E8 antibody has been pre-titrated and tested by flow cytometric analysis of human peripheral blood cells.
