FasL is a member of the TNF family and is expressed by mouse activated T cells. The interaction of FasL with its receptor CD95 induces Fas-mediated killing. It has been reported that the human FasL antigen is cleaved from the surface by matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs), resulting in a 26 kDa soluble form. The degree of sensitivity for the mouse antigen to MMPs has not been reported.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eApplications Reported:  MFL3 has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis. It has also been reported in blocking of the FasL mediated killing in functional assays.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eApplications Tested: The MFL3 antibody has been tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse FasL transfected cells and activated T cells. This can be used at less than or equal to 0.5 µg per test. A test is defined as the amount (µg) of antibody that will stain a cell sample in a final volume of 100 µL. Cell number should be determined empirically but can range from 10^5 to 10^8 cells\/test.
