The semaphorin family consists of membrane and secreted proteins involved in attraction and repulsion of neuronal guidance cues. Plexin-B1 is a transmembrane protein that can be cleaved coverting the single chain presursor into a heterodimeric receptor. It has been shown to bind Sema4D\/CD100 and is involved in axon development in mouse embryos. Sema4D also plays a role in the immune system interacting with CD72. This can be used at less than or equal to 0.5 µg per test. A test is defined as the amount (µg) of antibody that will stain a cell sample in a final volume of 100 µL. Cell number should be determined empirically but can range from 10^5 to 10^8 cells\/test.
