The biological function of the FcgammaR, including initiation of endocytosis, phagocytosis and antigen presentation, is elicited upon binding of host-immunoglobulin. The extent to which mouse monoclonal antibodies will bind to human FcgammaR varies depending on the isotype of the monoclonal antibody.
