Egr2 is a zinc finger-containing transcription factor that is important for the development of T cells and NKT cells. Egr2 is predominantly expressed in the thymus and nervous system, and it is also upregulated in T cells following TCR-crosslinking. Upregulation in all non-adherent mouse splenocytes has been observed following stimulation with phorbol 12-myristate 13-acetate (PMA) and ionomycin. Egr2 is believed to antagonize T cell activation and has also been reported to promote apoptosis. The erongr2 antibody also appears to modestly stain a subpopulation of T cells and B cells in freshly isolated spleen cells. The erongr2 monoclonal antibody is specific for Egr2 and does not crossreact to Egr3, based on immunoblot analysis.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eApplications Reported: This ERONGR2 antibody has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eApplications Tested: This ERONGR2 antibody has been tested by flow cytometric analysis of stimulated mouse splenocytes. This may be used at less than or equal to 1.0 µg per test. A test is defined as the amount (µg) of antibody that will stain a cell sample in a final volume of 100 µL. Cell number should be determined empirically but can range from 10^5 to 10^8 cells\/test.
