CD294 is selectively expressed on Th2 cells, type 2 innate lymphoid cells (ILC2s), eosinophils, basophils, and a subset of CD8⁺ T cells, making it a widely used marker for identifying and characterizing Th2-associated immune populations by flow cytometry. Engagement of CRTH2 mediates chemotaxis, cytokine production, and activation of these cells in allergic inflammation and asthma.
